Thick Thighs Saves…You From Buying Lululemon Leggings

Thinking about your plan to exercise and get healthy can be fun and motivating until you have to buy yourself some work out clothes, and not just any old leggings from Target. If you are going to look cool at the gym you better think about purchasing some Lululemon Leggings so you can fit in with everyone else there.

Then you actually have to buy them and they are, well, $100 for a pair of leggings. Yes, it is as ridiculous as it seems, but if you are going to show up to the gym thinking you know what you are doing you have to dress like the other gym junkies and fitness guru’s that are going to be there around you. Of course they will have the best work out sets and look so good and intimidating, so you want to look like you at least tried (and spent $100 on a pair of leggings).

Now, why are Lululemon leggings so expensive? Well, they are good quality and very comfortable, as I sit here writing this while wearing a pair. Lets be real, they are extremely comfortable and accentuate all of the right areas. But can everyone say the same when they wear them? People with all different body types? According to their website, no. The models that they show on their website pretty much all have the same body types, tall and skinny. They are no plus size girls to show what the leggings would look like on another body type, which is a huge problem.

Recently, the founder of Lululemon stated that the leggings do not work for some women’s bodies. I mean…just think about that. Lululemon is an active wear company and they are supposed to encourage people to exercise while wearing their clothing. If some body types are not able to wear their leggings then why are they promoting exercise and health in general? Exercise is not restricted to skinny body types. People with all body types exercise for all different reasons, not just to lose weight.

Of course there are other brands besides Lululemon that sell active wear, but when you think of working out and what to wear, Lululemon is usually the first thing that comes to mind. They have promoted themselves to be the #1 workout brand for people, and if that is the way they are going to advertise themselves then all body types should be able to wear their clothing.

If you are an active wear company you obviously want your customers to exercise while wearing your product. Lululemon needs to do a better job making their brand more inclusive to all body types because all people deserve to feel comfortable and confident while working out. Also, lowering their prices wouldn’t hurt either.
